We Build Green
In support of the Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) program, developed by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), FTR takes pride in our adherence and commitment to the construction of LEED certified building. We believe that Green buildings offer significant advantages to our society by reducing environmental impact through sustainable construction.
FTR International Inc. works with project owners, agencies, and architects to produce valuable engineering solutions and integrated initiatives to pursue LEED accreditation and sophisticated sustainability standards in our building projects. Some of our Green practices, as identified by the U.S. Green Building Council, include the incorporation of environmentally friendly concepts in both design and materials. We consider site conditions, waste management, energy efficiency, water reclamation and conservation, indoor environmental quality, and other health related and environmentally sensitive factors concerning construction.
Green building is an essential asset regarding worldwide building programs and quality assurance standards and remains an integral component of FTR International Inc.’s dedicated performance. As a USGBC Member, our firm’s commitment to environmentally conscious practices is illustrated by our Green Building portfolio and our awarded status of 4th in California and 25th Nationwide in the Top 50 Green Contractors of 2007 according to Engineering News Record (ENR) Magazine.
Our firm has received consecutive awards honoring both Merit and Sustainable Design achievements relating to the successful outcome and proven efficiency of two site-specific educational facilities.
