FTR Awarded Contract for New Signal Hill Police Station and Emergency Operations Center Project
FTR has been awarded contract for the new Police Station and Emergency Operations Center project with the City of Signal Hill. From a pool of twelve pre-qualified bidders, FTR’s winning bid is another exceptional opportunity to add to the firm’s growing portfolio of award-winning police and security facilities. Recent projects include the Hollenbeck Community Police Station for the City of Los Angeles, the Security Command and Control Center for the Port of Long Beach, and the Police Headquarters for the Port of Los Angeles.
The new Police Station is intended to achieve a minimum of LEED Certification and will include a jail, police records archives, an investigation division, administrative offices, and an adjacent property storage building. The Emergency Operations Center, (EOC) will accommodate additional police staff and administrative personnel with access to new computer workstations and support facilities.
Police Chief Tom Sonoff has worked diligently with Los Angeles based architectural firm WMM Associates to ensure that this facility is designed to meet the increasing needs of the Signal Hill Police Department. FTR looks forward to the opportunity to assist the City of Signal Hill with the new construction of this much anticipated Police Station and Emergency Operations Center.
