FTR and Signal Hill dignitaries celebrate the start of the City’s new Police Station
Construction began this month on one of the largest, most significant, and highly anticipated Public Works projects to commence in the city of Signal Hill. FTR International Inc. is the general contractor to build the new sustainable Police Station that is anticipated to achieve LEED Silver Certification upon completion. The facility will accommodate areas for the investigation division, administrative offices, and will include detention cells and a storage facility. Also included will be an Emergency Operations Center equipped with high-tech workstations and support divisions.
FTR International Inc. proudly joined numerous dignitaries, public officials, and members of the community from the City of Signal Hill, including Mayor Edward Wilson and Police Chief Tom Sonoff to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Police Station and Emergency Operations Center in Signal Hill California.
The police station is expected to be completed in late 2011 and at that time, the City of Signal Hill Police Department and FTR will be both anticipating to see the result of all the hard work, the unique, functional and modern quality-of-life facility that the entire community can be proud of.
This new police station will add to FTR’s industry-leading police and security facility portfolio, including the 2009 award-winning and LEED Gold Certified Hollenbeck Police Station in Los Angeles.
